Types
Mainly there three types Roller conveyors a) Powered Roller conveyor b) Power & free Roller conveyor c) Gravity Roller conveyor
a) Powered Roller Conveyors : are chain driven (Continuous chain drive or Roll-To-Roll chain drive). Modular construction in standard. Adjustable leg support eases installation and leveling at site. MOC can be MS or SS as desired.
b) Power & Free Roller Conveyors : Rollers are weight sensitive (Which is adjustable ) & they get disconnected from the chain drive for loads higher than set load. Roller – MS Chrome Plated or Galvanized, SS 304, SS316.
c) Gravity Roller Conveyors : With Gravity material to be conveyed rolls down by gravity over roller bed.
We are engaged in offering Powered Roller Conveyor and Gravity Roller Conveyors that assures high performance and durability. The components of this Powered Roller Conveyor are designed to deliver heavy-duty usage as well as flexibility. They comprise broad walled rollers of a sprocket, chain to chain or tangential chain mechanism, a fully enclosed side frame and an external shaft mounted a motor. This powered roller conveyor comprises the component that is designed for both heavy-duty usage and flexibility.
Chain-driven powered roller conveyors are the “four-wheel drive” of the roller conveyor world!
Whereas the lighter-weight lineshaft-drive conveyors can allow individual rollers to ‘slip’ if the load is high enough (a useful characteristic if accumulation is desired), chain-driven powered roller conveyors are all about power and traction. These rollers simply cannot slip, making it the application of choice for moving very heavy packages. It is a particularly popular solution for moving pallet loads.
With chain-drive powered roller conveyors, each roller is bound to its neighbor by a chain-and-sprocket arrangement, terminating in a pair of “driver rollers”, which also connect to the motor by a chain. This arrangement ensures that no roller can ‘slip’ under load, and gives a positive drive to all of the rollers on the bed simultaneously.
Unlike most conveyors, the motor on chain-drive powered roller conveyors is usually centrally-mounted, as this allows a more even distribution of torque across the roller bed as a whole. It is still possible to create an accumulation system with this technique, merely requiring that the roller bed be divided into separate sections, each with its own drive motor, and suitable sensors.
At medium weights and package size, it is still possible to have bends and loops, but these become increasingly impractical and expensive as weight/size increases. Instead, a right-angle transfer station or turntable can be used to accomplish the same effect.
Roller Conveyors are the most economical and common method of conveying unit loads. The conveyors are typically mounted on a slight decline angle, therefore using gravity to assist product movement, especially for long distances. They can also be used in applications where the conveyor is level and operators can push the product along to its final destination, allowing for multiple workstations, if needed.
Application:
- Convey loads of Cartons, Totes, Fixtures, Cardboard Boxes
- Non-Contact Accumulation
- Unitized
- Pallet loads when bottom boards are perpendicular to the rollers
- Pallet loads when bottom boards are parallel to the rollers
- Sideloading/unloading
- Accumulation of loads
